Esquisse™ Process

NTD Architecture employs a unique approach to programming, planning and design in which clients become essential participants in the development of solutions. The process is called Esquisse™, from a French word meaning, "to sketch out loud." The Esquisse™ is an intensive, on-site work session in which clients have the opportunity to work directly with the NTD Architecture design team in programming, planning and designing their project.

The NTD Architecture project team relocates to a site convenient for the client (usually within the client's current facility) where they set up a "mini-architectural office" or Esquisse™ workroom.

The clients and users, those who will use the proposed facility, are invited to work directly with the project team to identify issues and goals related to the project. They actively participate in the planning process while realistically considering budget and schedule issues.
